Wagyu Embryos
At Noboa Wagyu we have a specialized laboratory designed, built, and equipped under national and international standards, to produce embryos through the technique of in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
Through an IVF collection, called aspiration or OPU, unfertilized oocytes (non-fertile eggs) are collected directly from the ovaries of a donor female.
The recovered oocytes are fertilized one day after aspiration, and transferred seven days after fertilization.
During this eight-day period, they are grown in an incubator with special means that nourish the embryos to grow, controlling the temperature and environment to mimic the cow's uterus.
Subsequently, these embryos formed in a petri dish, under the Direct Transfer technique, are frozen to be implanted at the right time.
This technique has revolutionized international trade, because calves born from embryos acquire better acclimatization, greater resistance and survival.
Through the use of embryos, a greater genetic gain is achieved, reducing years of work to achieve it.
Wagyu Semen
Artificial Insemination programs are an excellent tool for the incorporation of genetics, in order to improve certain characters of a pure Wagyu herd or to introduce the race to new places.
The use of IATF programs with semen from our high marbling Wagyu broodstock will have a favorable impact on your herd making calf production more consistent and efficient in your crossing programs.
We have different genetic lines to avoid consanguinity and maintain a correct balance in fullblood or pure Wagyu rodeos.
In Noboa Wagyu we have semen from Wagyu bulls with excellent fertility, produced under international standards.
Wagyu Beef
